Spring Fayre
IT’S GETTING CLOSE TO SPRING FAYRE TIME! MAY 1 is the date so it's time to start planning for this major fund-raising event! Items that sell well:
- Good quality furniture and household goods
- Baking - especially pies (we sold 83 last year), bread, and jams
- Books - plus CDs, DVDs, Videos, but NO encyclopedias, readers digests, textbooks or magazines
- Clothing – gently-used clothing and accessories (costume jewellery, scarves, hats, purses, etc) and vintage clothing
- Furniture - we’ll pick it up
- Household goods – useable items, but NO plastic, wicker ware, or electronics
- Household linens - table, bed, bath
- Plants and garden tools/furniture - please mark plants
Consignment sales: For higher-value items, consider offering them for sale with a percentage going to the church….such as cars, boats, quality furniture, antiques. We are currently working on a 50% split on such items. ***To minimize the clean-up following the sale, please bring only items that you yourself would buy.
So there you have it. Start organizing your contributions and consider how much time you can devote to the event. We welcome suggestions to promote the fayre as this is one of our major fund-raising events (and it’s a lot of fun!).
